Day 315 - End of the adventure, saying godbye

It doesn't matter if the story is happy or sad. Evey one of them has an ending.

Our Slovakian trip is over and the worst part of it is saying goodbye.

It is very difficult for me to find the right words to describe the feeling of leaving so many good people behind. Maybe I can start saying that our EVS project's ending was not as it could be, but we can without any doubt say that we are happy that we chose Slovakia as our hosting country.

In the picture below you can see some of the people who made our return home much more difficult than expected, because we left behind such extraordinary people.

From left to the right are sitting or standing: Radka, Miška, Barbora, Erik, me and Azra. The picture was taken a day before we left. Saying goodbye was very difficult and full of emotions, but as I always say, this is just the beginning of a new friendship. The world is small.

Here me and Azra would like to express our deepest gratitude to Radka, Baša and her family for being there when we needed them the most and for having fun with us. Nevertheless thank you for taking care about Cofka amd all the great things you did for us.

The same gratitude goes to Miška and her family. Also without them our last week in Slovakia would be a disaster. Thank you for saving us and showing your great heart and hospitality. Thank you for every meal you kindly offered us and thank you for offering us a great place to sleep. Thank you Miška for being such a great person you are. Thank you for showing us The Umbilical Brothers. :)

Not to forget our best and faithful friend Erik (from Sežana) who also stood beside us all the time and for visiting us the 4th time. You also saved our asses when we needed you the most. Again and again, already 10 years or more. How can we ever repay you back?

So, below it's us again sitting in the Tea house all together again.

Martin, another EVS volunteer from Germany, below. It was also very difficult to say godbye to you. We are happy that we've met and we look forward to see you again here in Slovenia. The last day together was great. Swimming in Klinger lake was to remember and so your friendship to us. We wish you the best of luck.

We visited Kremnica with Erik.

Of course we cannot forget to thank Mrs. Mankova and her dauther Anička. I think not having you would also be a disaster.

Many great thanks go to Mrs. Viera Balazova, who also showed the great Slovak heart. Thank you for teaching me all those choir songs.

At the end thanks to everyone else that helped us in any other way. It was great knowing you. We won't forget you.

Of course a special thanks to all the EVS volunteers who we did not have the chance to say goodbye properly. We hope that one day we will all meet again.

Thank you Caro, Martin, Elisabeth, Zdravka, Oksana, Diogo, Gisele, Minna, Tuomas, Dan, Barbora, Janis, Edita, Marie, Eric, Sandrine, Antje, Lydia, Gergana, Michel, Ahmed, Karen, Rebekka and of course Tomaš and Sona and all the rest of you EVS volunteers!!

Thank you Barok for being patient with the accounting issues. :)

Tank you Lubomir for taking us horseriding and thanks to your family for their hospitality. I hope you will find an EVS project. Sorry we did not have more time for you.)

Thank you Ema.

Thank you zbor Mladost.

Goodbye Slovakia, goodbye Banska Štiavnica... at least for a year.
