DAY 200 - Fresh blog, many activities

Hello my friends. At last here are the last images that I had in the drawer. At least until I make new ones. I decided not to put hundred of images of just one event, because it is really to much work and time for me. So I just decided to put pictures of many events in one post. I think it should be enough.

So, let's start.

Our scout house was recently host of an international seminar with the title Natural Born Volunteers. The activities started on 19th and finished on 24th of February. It's main subject, as the title itself is describing, was about EVS volunteering in natural environments after natural catastrophes. The big Volunteers for High Tatras 2006 project was presented and the participants had the chance to get to know the Slovak natural environment as they also had the chance to visit The Slovak paradise and after that the devastated High Tatras. Just a reminder - the high Tatras were devastated on 19th of November 2004 by a strong windstorm.

Workshops that were held on the seminar were conducted by different trainers. The participants came from eleven different, mainly European countries (Bulgaria, Checzh Republic, Greece, Iceland, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, UK and Georgia), of which three of them are EVS long-term volunteers that the Scouting Slovakia is hosting at the moment.

The participants were from different kinds of organisations, mostly organizations that are anyhow with their activities connected to their natural environment. Some were former EVS volunteers and some were representatives of the organizations which already have experience in hosting or sending the EVS volunteers abroad.

So we had a trip... here we were in the "Slovak Paradise".

The following pictures are no longer from the seminar.

Here I clean the snow from the stairs infront the hostel entrance again and agian. :)

Probably you all don't know, but I found a wonderful choir of students on the pedagogical faculty in Banská Bystrica which I joined and already spent some very nice moments with them. Already learned some songs and so on. Follow the blog in the future as I will ad more pictures from the choir.

The choir's name in Mladosť and it is formed by students on the pedagogical faculty of the Matej Bell University. They are studying to be teachers and they are "VYBORNA PARTIA". :)

He is a tallented bass singer, who also sings proffesionally in the opera of Banská Bystrica.

L'ubo and the rest of the small number of male singers in the choir. Lubo is basically the icon of the choir with his funny nature. A really very funny guy!

And the girls. Well some of them.

While singing Gaudeamus Igitur.

Let's now jump back to Banská Štiavnica.

And back again to the choir Mladost.

We had a very nice weekend where we singed, learned new songe and of course had parties. I again I felt wonderfull with them. To be honest the choir Mladost is probably the best thing that happened to me untill now since we are in Slovakia.

They are boys from the first year. From the left we have Andrej (bass), Matuš (tenor), Mišo (tenor) and Joško (bass). They had to prepare a some funny performance for the rest of the choir. And yes, they were funny. :)

Also girls from higher classes had to perform something. Well, since they also have to learn how to lead a choir, they have lessons in thiy subject. I am not really sure, but I hink, that they may have imitated their teachers. :) Also very funny.

Oh, yes... and then we have the two Lubos. :) They are amazing. They really make us laugh. Sometimes too much. :) Good guys!

In the rooms... a party!

There is no chance not to have fun with them since they all sing good, they all know to play at least one instrument and the time with them the time passes so quickly!

Many people in one small room.

A lot of nice girls.

Me and Tereza.

For sure more pictures will come.

And for the end some nice pictures of Banská Štiavnica. BTW, I made a new web site for the hostel where we are making our EVS. Check it out on www.scouthouse.sk.
